Discussion of new Fallout projects should be a big, exciting thing, even if all the games are years off. But doing it as a "well, we just made deep cuts but these studios can still produce video games, honest!" kind of damage control thing just sucks.

i'm firmly of the belief that everyone should have a creative hobby. even if you aren't "good" at it. it keeps your critical thinking skills engaged, it reminds you that you're still capable of learning and growing and improving at things, it helps you connect to other people. you gotta make stuff!

MICAH ULRICH X VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE - THE DARK AGES. The cat is out of the bag - I had the honor of being able to bring the World of Darkness to life for the cover and illustrations featured in BOUND BY BLOOD. Coming July, 2026.

i usually keep my games industry opinions to myself, but we already have a problem with unreal games all looking the same. that they're pushing further in that direction and going all-in on AI is so deeply toxic to the medium. there are so many talented artists who want to be working on your games

grabbing every small business owner I can find by the shoulders and yelling directly into their faces that IF I DON'T HAVE AN INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT I CAN'T SEE ANY OF YOUR SHIT GET A FUCKING WEBSITE

"get more orbs with nitro" what the fuck is an orb. what is going on with discord. why does anyone need more orbs. why does anyone pay for nitro. stop giving me fucking popup ads inside my chat client. i'm going to fucking scream

this is an astounding way to refer to an adaptation of Neuromancer. incredible headline work if your goal is to send a bunch of thirtysomethings on a rage spiral.

Hey all, I'm planning out my year and I'll have some availability in the mid-late fall for game audio work if people are in need! Feel free to shoot me a DM or reach out via my website- I compose, handle technical sound design, and am super comfy with Unity and version control :) lexfeathers.ca

whole thread is good, but this point: i left my code job partly because everyone around me was drilling -this- into my head. the industry treats code as a black box that meets spec: to survive in that industry is to internalize this feeling. that’s a huge shame but also part of why we’re here now

"it doesn't matter what the code is all that matters is that it runs and produces the desired result" liar. what you're saying is bullshit. you know it's bullshit and you're saying it anyway
