pleasing taste, some monsterism Likes: decadent food, witchy ritual, noisy music, 80s horror on VHS, woodland walks, RPGs, David Lynch, Jan Švankmajer, industrial-strength performance art / physical theatre, books.

Get this! Listening to Rhiannon talking about it the other night would've made it a must-buy if I hadn't already ordered it. It's exactly the fresh, innovative Scottish horror I've been holding out for. And if you're in Edinburgh tonight, get yourself along to the launch! bsky.app/profile/rhia...

Sniffin’ Glue at 50! Do you make a music zine? If so, we want to see it

To mark 50 years since the punk DIY publishing explosion, we want to compile a map of the UK’s contemporary zine scene

Instead of giving that engagement-bait Guardian article the quote-sharing it wants, share some recent Horror journalism that’s actually good. For example, @sharai.bsky.social’s dissection of how @shudder.com is making us all better horror watchers and critics through diverse programming?

HAS SHUDDER MADE US BETTER HORROR FANS AND CRITICS WHILE RESHAPING HOW WE ENGAGE WITH THE GENRE?

Undeniably, SHUDDER set the blueprint of horror streaming engagement but has it’s influence made our fandom and criticsm more highly tuned?

Wow, so close to a numerical milestone. I never thought my strange wee ritualistic horror audio drama would reach so many earholes. I'll try to manifest a shower of boombox-shaped balloons over the 15,000th listener. Thank you. The fifth of SIX SONGS is out now on all streaming platforms.

A graph showing "all time downloads" as 14,998

Because I am super sneaky / terrible-at-building-momentuum (delete as appropriate), ALL episodes of CALEDONIAN GOTHIC presents: SIX SONGS FOLK HISTORIANS DON’T WANT YOU TO HEAR!! THIS MELODY WILL SHOCK YOU!! are now up on Bandcamp, well earlier than they will be hitting podcatchers.

One of the most laborious things about working in corporate culture is the unspoken rule that any written document needs to be -- explicitly and verbally -- declared "not War & Peace". I do not know why. I guess is some sort of superstition.
