Today concludes my fellowship with Lawyers for Good Government. Getting to serve the transgender community in a fulltime capacity was nothing less than a dream and a privilege. As I go onto my next chapter as a Law Student, I cannot be more grateful for such a meaningful experiance.

1. In the aftermath of forcing the Ohio Progressive Caucus to delete criticism of Amy Acton for calling trans girls "boys," progressives were promised a meeting with Acton. Now, we have learned she didn't show up, and kicked trans people out of the meeting. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Dem. Ohio Gov Candidate Amy Acton Scheduled a Meeting With LGBTQ+ Advocates, Didn't Show Up, And Kicked Out Trans People Who Did

The meeting was supposed to be Acton's way of making up for calling trans girls "boys."

Transgender workers deserve job security, especially those who have dedicated their lives towards making meaningful change for all of us. Sign their petition and demand that @transequality.bsky.social is transparent with their workers: forms.gle/2jVpUTaFu7ZV...

Ok, I've got a beta up and running with full semantic search along with agentic RAG to enable insights from the full corpus database. In plain terms, it allows you to ask questions and it will answer using the full legislative database. Given the costs to run, it'll be invite access only.

Creating a vector database of nearly 10k LGBTQ related bills from 2004-present. This will allow for semantic search on bills as well as novel textual analysis. It'll include all bill meta data along with hand coded values by the legialerts team. I don't think anything like this has been done before.

The thing about these bans is that they filter down to even rec leagues. These tennis associations such as the USTA also oversee amateur and rec league regulations. So a trans woman wanting to do some casual matches with friends is also banned. It's about exclusion, not fairness.

Trans women have been allowed to compete in women's tennis for nearly fifty years since Renee Richards won her case in 1977. It hasn't been an issue in all that time. Now they're mandating these invasive genetic tests to screen out trans and intersex women. www.devdiscourse.com/article/spor...

Fascism is here. If you’re not alarmed you’re not paying attention. “Left-wing political terrorism” will mean those who oppose the regime — while actual right-wing extremism is allowed to grow and thrive. We are very far off the cliff, folks.

A trans woman was arrested in the UK for posting on Bluesky “I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony." This was a reference to comments made by Widdecombe when she was prisons minister where she supported the handcuffing of Incarcerated pregnant women giving birth.

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

The data behind this has taken years to compile. @lizsaila.bsky.social has put in thousands of hours of work maintaining and overseeing the tracking of bills on our spreadsheet. This wouldn't be possible without her.

I just created www.lgbtqlegislation.com which builds on the work of the LegiAlerts team to provide an interactive data dashboard to look at 20+ years of anti-LGBTQ legislation and especially anti-trans legislation. It also includes an overview of pro-LGBTQ legislation. Check it out!

To be clear: No AI was used for compiling the data. The frontend webpage, however, was created using Claude by @esqueer.net. If it’s against your personal beliefs to visit any webpage that was created with AI you are still welcome to visit all this data in its raw form at archive.legialerts.org

Oh cool, an Easter egg feature that traps you in a driverless car and kidnaps you when it's decided you've misbehaved. Imagine what a hacker group or ICE can do with this. The fact that this is even functionally possible is horrifying.
