A lot is better than 40 years ago. But a lot is worse than 10 years ago, which may be why we have so much nostalgia. (And some things were better 40 years ago - kids had more freedom, for instance.)

This was intentional. First drones, now missiles. Russia is gauging NATO’s (specifically the US) response to these violations. Every time they strike far Western Ukraine, they get data on Polish operating procedures - alerts, jets scrambled, communications with allies, etc.

If a Democratic President overruled agency recommendations to support disaster aid requests from states led by Republicans, there would be outrage editorials, Congressional hearings, and LOUD demands for bipartisanship but Trump does it and it's just a day ending in "y." No one cares.

Reminder that the Golden Age of Comics began in 1938 when a couple of Jews started making stories about fighting evil. So many of the people in power now seen so much like cartoon villains bc those archetypes were literally created after some of the most horrific human beings of our known history.
