I saw so few ads that were her (or him) speaking. But so many ads were saying horrible stuff about him in support of her, and that never sits well with me. I'm glad we (I'm in Michigan) made what appears to be the right call. But I hope she finds more ways to do good in the future too.
The next Bond should be Jodi Whitaker. (I was originally joking, but, on thinking about it, I would totally go see that movie.) (She's the right age for it, too. Bond is supposedly 42, she's 44, and obviously Bonds have been much older.) (And she's good at characters with fancy tech + vehicles.)

The thing about tactical nukes is that we deployed them across Asia during the Cold War but withdrew them starting in the 70s (Japan/Okinawa, Taiwan, Philippines) because they were security/logistical/political headaches and basically made obsolete by sea and CONUS based forces.

There may well be active duty troops in the Middle East right now who have family members locked in ICE jails. Congress authorized Military Parole-in-Place specifically to avoid this situation. But the Trump admin has shown little care to families caught in this situation.

A lot is better than 40 years ago. But a lot is worse than 10 years ago, which may be why we have so much nostalgia. (And some things were better 40 years ago - kids had more freedom, for instance.)

As someone who grew up in SoCal and remembers smog alerts and maybe being able to see the mountains once a year, yeah, air quality is soooooooo much better these days

I like McMorrow - I think she picked/got stuck with bad consultants for her Senate campaign and got bad advice. I actually think that in a 2-way race against either Stevens or El-Sayed, she would have won, but in a 3-way race her lane just wasn't there.
