Grateful for this land. Great Meadows, Concord MA. Long run in a big mileage week. Slow run, trail running shoes were great on 16 trail miles but no fun on the 5 road miles. Yet, when I looked around and up at this beautiful blue sky and sunshine, the “am I done?” was forgotten.

What a great choice. As a grad student, I remember reading this paper in Cell which featured a doberman asleep on the cover..
Two scientists have identified a cause of the sleep disorder narcolepsy, which affects an estimated one in every 2,000 people in the U.S., after their research in animals laid the groundwork.
Enjoy the last weekend of summah. Not a Vogue reader, but couldnt resist including this issue in my long weekend reading list.
Onward Professor @travisgoode.bsky.social I have no doubt that you will be an awesome mentor, colleague and asset to your department and look forward to hearing about your lab’s discoveries!
🧪🧪🧪 (1/5) Beyond thrilled to announce that I’ll be starting my own lab as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (@uthsc.bsky.social) in Jan 2027! #NewPI My lab will study the neurobiology of learning, memory, and motivation! 🧠🐭⚡️🔬
Wompatuck state park, Hingham, MA. Beautiful trails. MA has so much beautiful conservation land. Take care of the land for a good life! Thank you @ Mass DCR!
100% one of my all time favs: The starkness, stillness, and a dash of piercing loneliness…
Edward Hopper knew that people could be lonely despite being together. He showed how modern America turned shared spaces into isolated cells. But he also knew how deep human bonds could go when the world is seen through shared eyes. 🧵👇 #artbots #hopper

Many miles morning run to round off a big mileage week after a supination sprain. So much of training is adapting and evolving, learning when and how to return to the training plan. And when you do the joy is infinite.. Plan the runs. Run the plan.
Excited to share our discovery of a convergent mechanism for cognitive restoration and seizure suppression in neurodevelopment disorders in Nature (Open Access www.nature.com/articles/s41...). Led by two amazing neuroscientists, @yutzushih.bsky.social and @jasonalipio.bsky.social + a great team 1/2
Experience-dependent interneuron plasticity may represent a convergent circuit mechanism for these neurodevelopmental risk genes that reflects a shared genetic architecture, a new study suggests. By @claudia-lopez.bsky.social www.thetransmitter.org/spectrum/los...
Neurodevelopmental conditions may share faulty plasticity
Restoring expression of an experience-dependent interneuron plasticity gene aids memory and cuts seizures in CNTNAP2 knockout mice, a new study shows.

Sad and painful to see the cost of assault on graduate programs in Biomedical Research across our nation. We MUST regain our trajectory before it is too late. #sciencematters Research Universities Are Admitting Fewer Ph.D.s, a Bad Sign for Science www.nytimes.com/2026/07/06/u...
