can we at least allow that running into paywalls sucks? i just can't pay for every blog i want to read, and i don't use tiktok or content aggregators so there's no third party summary for me. i understand why paywalls are necessary and i don't blame anybody for having one-- but it still kinda sucks

I've been doing trans rights related work for a decade and I don't think I've ever had so many friends in community in crisis. People are cracking under the weight of the despair of the current moment. I don't know what to do at this point. It's all so incredibly heavy.
Cis folks really don't understand what it's like to have who you are made into a political scape goat for 5 years straight with legislation targeting every aspect of your life. And then, the only political party that pretends to care is slowly being pushed to abandon you as a political albatross.
