Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
What I would give for some locally-owned theaters to go "screw it" and screen the Avatar Aang movie for fans who wanted to see it as it was meant to be seen.

I've said this before but if a library went and dedicated an area to just renting movies, and remodeled the entire area to look like an old blockbuster, and used old movie racks, and sold snacks as well, they'd make such a fucking killing. it'd catch on like a wildfire

Never thought I'd utter this sentence, but... I kinda liked the new Minions movie.
For the record, a big reason why all these AI companies are making all these deals with like, every major company, studio, business, software program, etc is because they're all in a fuck ton of debt. Like, Joe Exotic levels of debt where they're not making any money at all with their AI tech.
I hate the idea that some live action filmmakers need to rely on AI for storyboarding when I like, really really love storyboarding and that’s one of my favorite parts of the creative process. It makes no sense. More people working in live action really should get their start in animation.

Going to the movies would be a better experience if cinemas bothered to hire more ushers to wait in theaters and actually enforce etiquette policy by kicking out anyone who talks or uses their phone or other devices! If people won't exercise self-restraint, theaters need to take action.
The next animated LEGO movie should just be about the Bricks & Minifigs scandal.

I think the vast majority of us can agree that we'd much rather have more homes, parks, farmland, or locally-owned businesses in our areas than giant data centers destroying everything important.

It's been pretty cool seeing people who got their start on YouTube making theatrical movies lately, and most of them have been doing well. This year alone, we've had Iron Lung, Obsession, and Backrooms, all of which I've liked. Gives me hope for other Internet creatives wanting to expand to cinema.

Did people in the film/TV industry forget that works made with AI were ruled ineligible for copyright protection? Why do they keep pursuing this when they (should) know how unpopular it is?
It's okay to be disappointed & upset with someone when they do hurtful, thoughtless things, but wishing physical harm or worse on them or their loved ones is unacceptable. Your feelings are valid, it's okay to feel rightfully hurt, but believe in change too. Malice & cruelty won't make things better
