Black-and-white vertical photograph of two Japanese anemones arranged in a clear glass vase against a pale, high-key background. The two long, slender stems rise from the vase and cross near the centre before separating toward the blooms. One flower faces slightly upward and to the left, while the other turns more toward the viewer from the upper right. Their pale petals are thin, softly irregular and gently cupped, with darker textured centres that remain clearly defined. Fine veins and subtle folds are visible across the petals without losing their luminous quality. A few narrow leaves and smaller stems branch from the main stalks, adding delicate interruptions to the otherwise spare composition. The glass vase is lightly rendered, with its rim, waterline and curved sides visible without becoming dominant. The nearly white background retains faint texture and tonal variation, allowing the flowers to seem suspended in light while the crossing stems provide the main graphic structure.
