As they say, history may not repeat itself, but it often rhymes. I stumbled upon John Denver in the Mitchell Trio's 1966 recording of "Your Friendly Liberal Neighborhood Ku Klux Klan." It speaks to so many things happening today that it gives me new respect for John Denver.
