We need to weed these poltroons out! Take note, if they couldn't tell the truth now, when our democracy counts on it, then they should be shunned from any future participation in government. This is important, they are siding with an insurrectionist

I never thought I’d see testimonies like this before the U.S. Congress. These are grown men who should know fact from fiction, yet they stand there shamelessly gaslighting the American people & performing for an audience of one. It’s both astonishing & deeply sad to see how far the U.S. has fallen.

Right wingers are trying to manufacture consent around their idea that, just like Jesus, all the Greeks were white And we talk about what concerns the racists, as we are doing now While the shredding of our Constitution continues apace, and corruption abounds with very little notice

I don't think there are more than 100,000 people in the entire country who have any sort of substantial interest in this debate over academics vs. Chris Nolan regarding "The Odyssey." And I think that's being generous. It's the sort of Very Online discourse that isn't reflected in real life.

You have my sympathy - but I'm one of those folks! As a system and software architect I have opinions on how things should work, and it just seems like every piece of software and every operational workflow for every business is just shit anymore. I expect this to get worse with AI

i didn’t even work here when the requirements were written and i am not responsible for design or features but boy i am sure getting the blowback for things not working as users expected

My first reaction is, "Hurray, we can stop subsidizing these racist bastards" But, if Lincoln taught us anything, it's that we need to fight to give those Americans a chance for freedom So... you tried secession once before, Tubie, how did that work out? Get with the program or get gone

Tuberville: "If we don't straighten out this country's voting and immigration system, we're not gonna make it. It's gonna be over. I'm gonna go back to Alabama and hey, we might build a 30-foot wall around our state."

Until and unless the media reports on these kind of non-answers with, "White House having a hard time finding attorney corrupt enough to suit it" (or something equivalent), then we will continue having corrupt and unresponsive governance

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com · 9h ago

Q: "What message does it send if Trump fires a U.S. Attorney because she determined there was not sufficient evidence to charge four people with a crime?" Blanche: "If the president wanted to fire a U.S. Attorney, it turns out he's allowed to do that."

This could be said about almost every issue that is of concern to citizens - healthcare, environment, education, science... the list is endless Dems, with all their flaws, still at least pay lip service to actual governance Reps don't bother - and our media doesn't care

Democrats have legislation that will make Social Security solvent for as far as the actuarial eye can see without cutting benefits. Where's the Republican proposal? It doesn't exist. - @whitehouse.senate.gov

if you’re voting in the MA primaries, this is a reminder.. DO NOT vote for Seth Moulton. he’s a classic transphobic dem. he’s “apologized” for what he said about trans athletes, but we all know this is him trying to save face for votes. so don’t vote for this scumbag.

Krugman, nice guy but still suffering from NYT capture. Truth would be the Dems corruptly colluded and covered up the Iraq war debacle, Obama turned actively crushed investigations of war crimes, and they have systematically transferred of our money to the wealthy for decades. Hope is not a plan

I believe and hope that if Democrats regain power, they won’t repeat past mistakes by trying to “move on” from the corruption and scandals of the previous regime.

Right? That's a normal human reaction, which is criticized and ridiculed by our politicians, media and business leaders (you know, the people who matter) I was a free-lunch kid, my kids were not and I'm here to tell you it was awesome and I'm happy to pay now so other kids can eat

Molly Bangles@mollybangles.bsky.social · 2d ago

I WANT to take the hit so everyone can eat. That’s kind of the whole point of taxes. I don’t have kids, but my tax dollars go to public schools, and I would actually like for more of them to be put there, instead of towards riot gear for cops.
