Crop yields down, our countryside scorched and over 2800 people are dead due to this summer's heatwaves. Meanwhile fossil fuel giants are raking in record profits. We must end this rampant profiteering, and cut fossil fuels from our energy mix as soon as possible.

Measuring the country’s wealth based on the number of million and billionaires created, is a false indicator. The level of poverty, homelessness, unemployment and access to crucial public services like healthcare, or lack thereof, is a more accurate barometer by which to gauge.

So much for a fresh start with Burnham. New oil and gas won't cut bills or make Britain more energy secure. But they will lock us into more climate damage. It's time to invest in clean energy, warm homes and the jobs of the future - not to double down on the fuels of the past.
Nigel Farage was absent for a significant number of votes, including a stretch of 77 consecutive votes over approximately 11 weeks, covering motions on crime, pensions, immigration!!
This would be a deeply irresponsible and destructive act at any time. To do it whilst we're having a third heatwave of the year and thousands of people have just died from extreme temperatures - makes it also politically incoherent. We urgently need to replace Labour.
