Well, everyone knows Angus’s capacity to have a healthy relationship with social media died at Little Tweethorn. What this account presupposes is: maybe it didn’t?
Respectfully, the Earth already has enough moons. We don't need to manufacture more.

Do not doubt the awesome power of friendly abuelas handing out La Raza voter guides outside of polling stations.
The Missouri SoS website has all precincts reporting in the 4th District Dem primary, and they show Jordan Herrera with 19,850 votes, Hartzell Gray with 18,055 votes. Not sure why the AP hasn't called the race, but it's hard to see where Gray would find net 1800 more votes at this point. #mo04
Stacy Lake absolutely housing the whole coterie of goons the establishment dispatched to take her down is tremendously satisfying to behold. Must be her proximity to Kitty’s. There are mountains of strength in those tenderloins.
Bede's World! Bede's World! Party time! Venerable!
Gotta love the “or stocks” part. Like Gemini realized its first answer was nuts so it tried to wedge in a better one.
To be very clear, extrajudiciously killing people you suspect are drug traffickers is *also* murder
The US military’s strikes on alleged drug boats have likely illegally killed “individuals who are not involved in narcotrafficking,” Sen. Tim Kaine told the White House, following “a careful review” of classified information he has seen so far.
...this is such a hilarious send up of all of the baroque stratagems and tricks that show up in ancient military literature (thinking both Mediterranean and China), I love it.
Done and done, voted early. If you're a MO voter and you haven't voted yet, VOTE TODAY
Missouri friends: tomorrow is Election Day and I'm sure you already know to vote NO on amendments 4 and 5 to preserve our citizen-led ballot measure process and prevent a huge statewide sales tax hike, but please also vote YES on 1 to preserve an existing tax for parks and conservation too!

It’s not quite right to say the Trump regime used up virtually all of America’s best missiles in the war on Iran this year, only to gain nothing (in fact, to lose valuable things). Because the Trump regime used up someone of America’s best missiles in a war in Yemen last year, only to gain nothing.
U.S. has used 'virtually all' of its long-range precision missiles during Iran war: Reuters
linear TV was genuinely addictive because of the inability to watch what you want. Inconsistent but paced-out rewards the same as a skinner box. You got a big jackpot dopamine bonanza when your favorite Simpsons episode was randomly on syndication that day or came across an MST3k marathon
It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
This Ruby-throated Hummingbird pose makes me think of a teeny tiny penguin.
So let's just say when King Elessar decides to pronounce the Shire an autonomous region under his protection rather than, like, trying to invade it, your thought is, "oh thank Eru..."
If you’re a Gondorian soldier your experience with hobbits is a tiny guy shows up with a wizard and is immediately taken in the Steward’s counsel. He saves Faramir when the Steward goes mad. A second tiny guy arrives with the Rohirrim and kills the Witch King. The first one then goes on campaign …

The USSR censorship part is so integral for Estonians we tend to forget that others might not know it. It was a cat and mouse between the author, the censor and the reader. The fact that many censors didn't speak Estonian helped. Also "explainer and Easter egg videos" in analog via word of mouth 🧵 1/
If anyone's looking for a summer read, then I can't recommend this classic Estonian historical novel highly enough. Incredible that it got past the Soviet censors when it was published in 1970.
Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli. (IIRC, we watched it more than six times during its original theatrical run. Have likely seen it, or heard it playing on our Odyssey's built-in DVD player, 100+ times overall.)
