it's not even socialism for a mayor to do this. dude is providing social services within the capitalist framework, which is fantastic, but it's not socialism.

Another reason I reject these national bourgeois metrics of economic health is we live in the imperial hegemon! Even real increases in the health of the American pocketbook comes with imperial extraction and international labor exploitation and I see no reason to treat that as a success.

Jessica Pishko@jesspish.bsky.social · 3w agoAnyways the issue here is the clarion call to election conspiracists, who will use tonight to fundraise, and constitutional sheriffs, who will use it to harass people. (Alongside DHS. I assume there will be a federal task force to scare people with prosecutions).
I will not be listening to opinions on gender and biology from those who think women originated from a rib cage…
