16 years tuning Vocaloid songs and my feelings are still the same... I like the results, I enjoy the fact that I can hack Japanese phonemes to make them sing in Spanish pretty effectively, buuuut the process itself is still a painful drag 🫠

AI is mainly championed by ppl who bluffed their way through life, never understanding how anything works. When AI promised to offload thinking from humans, they went "Finally, we can ALL drop the act!" only to be met with blank stares. So it's either embrace AI or admit they are failures as people.

1/ This company’s models were trained on web scraped datasets (like LAION) and their founders are ex-Stability AI employees who engage in the same thieving practices that led artists like myself to sue Stability. GenAi companies NEED big names to sanitize their exploitation and crippling PR.
