I always used to think I could never make it as a politician for, among other reasons, because I don't know fuck all about sports teams, but if a middle aged white man from Missouri can be a Senator and not know fuck all about sports teams, I guess it's not as much of a hindrance as I'd thought.
Those female students have more right to be there than the rapists and claiming that the female students should be the ones to uproot their lives and go through the entire process of starting all over again is pure misogyny, even if it's internalized misogyny. JFC.

It's a side note here, but what's especially galling about this is seeing elected officials (Mamdani, Tlaib, etc.) actively working to discourage citizens from voting while running for office themselves. That alone should have been a big ol' red flag.
