Andy Burnham wants growth for every region. There's an obvious lever to pull to achieve it. That delivers a £92 billion economic boost. Distributed across the UK. And especially to manufacturing-intensive areas in the Midlands & North. The answer to his domestic policy agenda? EU membership.
She was whipped by men whose religion, which was created by other men, doesn't think men have the self-control not to be tempted to assault her if they simply see her hair. Seems that the wrong people are being whipped.

Every traditional argument against the expansion of large-scale #solarfarms rests on the single idea that you cannot grow food on land covered by glass panels. But recent agricultural data has proven it wrong. French agrivoltaic trials released groundbreaking results from elevated solar canopies

An NHS campaigner reveals how spy-tech giant Palantir tried to secretly hire influencers to smear Good Law Project 👀 🎧 Listen to The Shadow Contract👇 https://goodlaw.social/1e69ba
Men are using Meta AI glasses to secretly film women at beaches, shops, on the street & on nights out. They then post these clips online where they receive a barrage of misogynistic abuse. I’m campaigning to make this behaviour an offence. Women deserve to feel safe in public spaces.
Smart glasses are 'an invasion of privacy' - Meta's are selling better than ever
The biggest tech firms are set to sell millions of smart glasses despite growing privacy concerns.

A please @labouruk.bsky.social, stop saying that it's up to us to stop Reform. YOU could stop a Reform government in 2029, by introducing the proportional representation so many in the country have been clamouring for. The only way Farage can win is through our crazy first-past-the-post system.
Renewable energy is often framed as climate policy. But what if the *more urgent* case is simply national security?
Renewable energy is no longer just climate policy – it’s national security

Ed Miliband: send the frackers packing for good
Fracking in England isn’t over − yet. Right now, there’s a temporary ban on fracking. But it’s not written into law, and loopholes mean so-called low-volume fracking could still go ahead. This leaves ...

Great Britain's electricity grid hit 98.8% zero carbon during a 30-minute period on the afternoon of 22 April, @neso-energy.bsky.social says. Solar generation may (they're still checking) have hit a record 15 GW between 1200 and 1300 on 23 April, also.
We’ve got a few tickets left. So be quick. Will I see you in Birmingham next week? #genealogy #familyhistory #RQGConf2026

I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp. If we extend our use of fossil gas, rather than going all-out for grid batteries, heat pumps and induction hobs, we extend our dependence on *foreign* sources of gas, regardless of whether we also use the UK's last remaining reserves. 🧵
