EU is investigating Russia’s possible involvement in information campaign surrounding Ceuta crisis. According to Ukrainian officials, pro-Russian networks published more than 1,5K posts about the events, prompting EEAS & Europol to examine whether Moscow coordinated or amplified the online campaign.

Defense industry executives are trying to calm Wall Street concerns over uncertainty surrounding the Pentagon’s proposed $1.5 trillion FY2027 budget. They say “continued demand for weapons and military equipment suggests defense spending will remain strong”.

Australia, Poland and South Korea are already in. More allies are expected to join. If users can enter hypothetical mission scenarios and receive AI-generated capability recommendations, where is the line between interoperability and exposing sensitive operational insights?

An act of terrorism at a German airport is being linked with Russia. A DHL plane had to abandon a landing when hit by a drone. It came as another drone, armed with an explosive, was spotted right by Ukrainian cargo planes. A robot was sent to check the device at Leipzig airport.

.. Remember FPV stands for First Person View, i.e. the drone operator sees the drone's view and therefore makes a deliberate choice as to what to hit. Russia made the ludicrous claim this⬇️ FPV hit was because the guy's truck was once used by the army😡 bsky.app/profile/twmc...

Stiff competition but this has to be one of the most sick videos of the day. In the centre of free Kherson, a clear example of Russia's human safari. A 52 year old civilian, at a market. Incredibly he survived, but suffered shrapnel wounds and concussion. #RussiaIsATerroristState

Overnight attacks followed a similar trend of late, attacking Ukraine's warehouses, no matter what they contain, but especially food. Another pointless example today in Kherson, where an FPV drone deliberately hit this supermarket lorry.

This is the daily 🧵- after another awful night. We've had more missiles in previous nights, but the damage is almost 100% because Trump refuses to give defence missiles for its Patriot systems. Review yesterday's news here, including the strikes on Kyiv: bsky.app/profile/twmc...

Hello again, on Day 1623 of the full invasion of Ukraine. Every single day I've compiled a thread of the news stories, updated throughout the day (and often night too) When I finished the previous thread in the middle of this night, more things were exploding inside Russia!

A European capital city, in a country that's an ally of NATO, spent this morning retrieving bodies, saving the wounded, grieving, & despairing at the US in particular for giving Russia the green light to murder when it wishes. Day 1624. Is the fight for good vs evil abandoned?

Days after Nick Judin reported that Mississippi had suddenly denied scholarships to 170 Mississippi foster students, a nonprofit has pledged $800k and colleges are working to ensure their education isn't disrupted. Lawmakers are also vowing to fix it. This is what impactful journalism looks like.

Coming up just after midnight, we reveal how a draft version of the government’s recent data centre report included several key aspects which questioned continued investment in the sector but were later cut from the final version released to the public. Read on thejournal.ie 🔜

A screenshot of an upcoming article on The Journal. The headline reads 'Concerns over supporting data centres ahead of transport or housing scrubbed from government report'

They should have this sorted by now. Which means there are serious stresses and shortages in sustainment capacity, likely owing to the unprogrammed nature of this campaign, as well as the increased op-tempo on this side of the Atlantic.

Heads up. Milei introduced his Thiel-aligned “Super RIGI bill” in an op-ed, “opening with “praise for the Dutch East India Company.” As noted by others, the Dutch East India Company was granted a “commercial monopoly, its own army, currency & legal system, & the power to declare war.” 7/31/26 … 1/

It was granted a commercial monopoly, its own army, currency and legal system, and the power to declare war. It built its wealth on colonial exploitation and the enslavement of hundreds of thousands of people. In this sense, the Super RIGI is the legal framework for a foreign-flagged VOC to operate on Argentine soil.
Milei celebrates the VOC as the birthplace of limited liability, "the invention that allowed capitalism to develop its full potential", a supposed gift from the West to the world, upon which Western superiority rests.

More questions over Farage's £5m gift... Daisy Cooper, deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats: “With every new revelation, Reform UK and Nigel Farage look more and more like a bunch of grifters who believe it’s one rule for them and one rule for everyone else."
