So the son of the family that sold the house to my SO's aunt and uncle (who sold it to him) just stopped by, I was out refilling the hummingbird feeder and got to meet one of the Elza family members. I love that I got to meet him and let him check out the property. I wish it was in better shape TBH

I swear to God, part of the problem of literacy is that we make kids read SO MANY books like this. Of course they’re going to associate reading with misery! We put them in a Skinner box and shock them when they read, what did people THINK would happen?

A more depressing collection would be tricky to assemble. Are we actively trying to convey to kids the idea that reading is dismal and arduous?

The obvious fix is to stop gendering sports unnecessarily. There are plenty of ways to ensure equity for all without relying on gender.
