It’s pretty amazing how little the average person knows about #human #history. It’s not taught in most schools, and unless you major in #anthropology you may never come across the information.
I’ve always been passionate about keeping a shared definition of #rewilding. While I actually do use many products that help alleviate the deleterious effects of living in a #society that is mismatched with how #humans have #evolved, it pains me to see people stop there.

Did you know humans didn’t start farming because it was a more efficient way to get calories than hunting and gathering? There are many theories as to why certain #humansocieties began #farming, but the reality is that no one knows. What we do know, is that it certainly wasn’t for #efficiency.
DID YOU KNOW…. #Humans are not innately flawed animals. What we call “Humans” (The Homo Genus) evolved at least 2.5 million years ago. Our current species, #HomoSapiens, hasn’t changed significantly in the last 200,000 years. If humans were innately flawed we would not have #survived this long.

As someone who was there it was clear that ICE intended to fire teargas on the labor march, directing shots over the heads of those closest to the building and firing munitions directly at the crowd. They even chose munitions that would have the widest possible effect.

Then @pdxoregon50501.bsky.social threw out the ED of @jwjpdx.bsky.social for holding the mayor accountable.
