It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

Went to a figure drawing session by @sketchxsketkh.bsky.social and it was amazing, highly recommend for any LA locals! Thank you @zerggiee.bsky.social for being an amazing Maelle!

I just had the most devastating session of dnd I have ever experienced, my character is going through it 😭😭

I would be a lot more happy about paying more for games if I knew that revenue was actually going to the devs who worked on it. Getting residuals would fundamentally change the structure and nature of this industry.

This $80 game discourse truly has me perplexed. On one hand, nobody, self included, wants to pay *more* for games, right? But am I mad at it? No, because some of these games are easily worth that and then some. If I could go back and pay $80 for Witcher 3 or GTA V? I wouldn't have even hesitated.

the only crusade I care about is the crusade for trans rights!!! #medievalart #transrights #illustrator

I loved the wizard books as a kid too but using nostalgia as a shield for a transphobe is not the hill you want to die on, I promise

New Yorkers, please call your state rep, state senator, and Kathy Hochul and tell them NO MASK BANS. This garbage proposal would kill people. We're on the verge of a measles epidemic and this terrible governor is pushing this? NO. Find your reps here: reps.fyi gothamist.com/news/gov-hoc...

Gov. Hochul is pushing a last-minute mask ban in state budget talks

The governor has expressed support for restrictions in protest settings, while many protesters say they need to conceal their identities to avoid retribution.

Google joins the call to gut our legal protections, pushing for a world where Big Tech gets to profit from all your innovations & works for free, and that theft is ok’d by law. No joke IF they get this, the US will likely face irreparable harm as pivotal creative economies crash.

OpenAI and Google ask the government to let them train AI on content they don’t own

GenAi companies know where all the court cases are headed, and how badly it’s going to go for them. Their only resort? Entirely destroy legal systems that are in our constitution in order to get away with their theft of creative works. But they wont succeed. We wont let them.

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

Activision quietly recast Black Ops 6 Zombies actors during SAG-AFTRA strike

"The strength of animation has never been in capturing reality but in departing from it, without the practical limitations of physical production" I'll never understand the desire, outside of greed, to remake animated features as live action (or more commonly, CGI masquerading as live action)
