"Maduro is a brutal authoritarian dictator," I wisely intone, as the corrupt demented paedophile US President violating Constitutional Law while operating a gestapo and concentration camps illegally arrests a foreign leader on charges which read like they were written on a paper placemat in crayon.

Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts. Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

I think I know what it must have been like to see the iceberg from the deck of the Titannic, and to hear the folks in first class laughing and calling, "cheers!"

Found out from news media yesterday that 9 of our international students got the double hit of canceled visas and deleted SEVIS profiles. Still no message from our administration. Will try to find out today whether the students’s departments were at least informed. #highered

Columbia has a $14.8 billion endowment. They gave up all of this for $400 million in federal funding. And now that they've given all this up, we all know that Trump will keep demanding more concessions. They've sunk themselves when at any time they could have just said... no.

"Columbia agreed to ban masks, empower 36 campus police officers with new powers to arrest students and appoint a senior vice provost with broad authority to oversee the department of Middle East, South Asian and African Studies as well as the Center for Palestine Studies."

I hope now, at least, people will stop talking about how universities are these left wing spaces dominated by flag waving Marxists--these are profoundly conservative institutions helmed and run by profoundly conservative people. No one else makes into leadership.

So it seems Columbia gave the Trump administration everything they wanted and more, including a new "vice provost" who will review curriculum, hiring, and leadership. www.wsj.com/us-news/educ...

While the faculty annual review process can sometimes feel onerous, I have such profound gratitude for my colleagues who review the materials. I’m adding this year’s to my “Boost” folder-the collection of nice things said about me/my work that I can look at during those tough moments. #highered

He said this a while ago and nobody I knew took it seriously. You bet your ass he's serious. This is how they manage the loss of migrants doing agricultural work - they send everyone with mental health concerns to do it instead.

RFK Jr said he wants to send folks who are taking antidepressants and ADHD medications to "wellness farms" in rural America where they will be forced to labor by growing organic food to "cure their addictions." www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸
