While there are contracts to sign and references to check, I am ecstatic to state that I just accepted a job offer this morning, after being out of work for 4 months and getting to a situation as a 'mature' jobseeker, worried I might not work again. It is incredible what a weight has been lifted!

Any other #author with an account on Amazon been compelled to install WhatsApp on their phone as the only way they will let you into your publishing account? I have had mine since 2012 but now have had to spend an age installing an app I do not want on my phone, one which is trying to access

What a day! Our oven stopped working because the element broke down tripping all sockets in the flat. They will come to repair on Monday. Then water dropped away because of a burst mains at 05.00, fortunately restored. Now all the fire alarms in the flat upstairs have gone off.

Today I would like to big up my fantasy novel from 2015, 'Crimson Bodies of Naugail'. I have never been happy with the front cover, but it is a good read and was probably more innovative back then than in today's marketplace. It has a map too. www.amazon.com/dp/B017ET6B7U

I had my first #AI interview for a job today. I guess this is the future. Ironically it told me it would detect if I copied in text from elsewhere especially if it was AI-generated. I even got feedback from the system about an hour later on how well I had performed. It will be interesting to see how

Pleased to announce I have now completed writing my 61st book (since 1988), 'Killings at the Source', a #noirtasy (i.e. murder mystery set in a fantasy context) novel. I will now set it aside for a few months before editing. I hope to self-publish it later this year or early in 2027.

oh golly gee i wonder if that's coz the previous government, Reform, and the current government all push the idea that we're being invaded by swarms of our fellow human beings
