Ah yes, let's once again give this particular character a traumatic backstory and detachment from other characters when the point of this character traditionally was that they were fairly well adjusted amongst their peers before their most iconic storyline kicks into gear... 🤷

Turns out my fears about WOTC sanitizing a 5E Dark Sun revival were dead wrong. I feared they would water down the setting into PG-13 toothless sludge. But no, instead they are reducing Athas into a hyper-violent edgelord fantasy, stripping it of its distinctiveness and nuance. #ttrpg #d&d #wotc
