I'm sorry for all the folks affected by layoffs recently. It's not much easier in the indie space and most of us are just getting by. If you are thinking about starting up a studio or going indie, I'm happy to share what I've learned running a small studio for the last 8 years with a remote team.

If publishers expect devs to take on all the risk before making a commitment, then what is the offer? What risk do they shoulder? Risk is part of the job, no?
