I think even as a little kid Unix (and likes) were always really fascinating to me. It's a whole era/subset of computing that escaped the masses for decades, only really used for business and such. Installing Sony's old RISC NEWS-OS to run Nintendo's leaked SFC era CAD software was really cool

I saw a modern X11 FVWM config that was genuinely like 95% identical to the Sharp X68K's "SX-Window" and I couldn't be more amazed Personally, I think it's just endlessly cool that Linux can look like late 80s software, while still having modern app support

An FVWM config almost perfectly mimicking the late 80s luster of Sharp/Hudson Soft's "SX-Window" GUI.

Also running is SNES9x with Pocky and Rocky 2 playing (very based)

i'm about ~5 1/2 months on estradiol now, honestly looking in the mirror i no longer fully just see a boy as i definitely have slightly feminine features now :3 oh yeah and a cups too

I hate that a cartel of big companies are allowed to hoard memory in order to destroy the market for consumers and smaller businesses, so the same big companies can then sell cloud solutions instead. I can't say what should happen to them, because that would get me banned. Wish we had any recourse.

I think it sucks that this new wave of fun and quirky phones are actually way more than you'd ever want to pay for them. i was astonished to learn that the light phone 3 is actually $899 👎💀 i like to call these things "paying for the privilege of having less" because that's what it really is. sad.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I just bought myself a BlackBerry Key2 LE to daily drive on the unofficial LineageOS22.2 (Android 15) port, currently just waiting for it to arrive in the mail :3 I'm quite excited to say the least ^-^

I found a Starblade machine at Mikado in Takadanobaba and well... Now I get it. The mirrored screen makes for amazing depth and the realtime-polygons are buttery-smooth. In 1991!! What an experience! This still somehow feels like science-fiction!

played Pulstar on Neo Geo and honestly.. I really wanted to like this one more, I'm a big fan of the cheesy mid 90s CGI, gorgeous graphics, and music this game offers, but I find the gameplay to be very mediocre at best. A hori this new should have in-level respawn, and it's just tedious

Easily biggest peeve of mine is when arcade ops swap the monitors on their games to LCD panels. Immediate vibe ruiner. for me, either hire me to recap and rejuvenate your monitors or I'm not going. simple as that. if i wanted something i can have at home in 2 minutes i would've just stayed home...
