Chicago History Museum is doing an ad hoc free admission day tomorrow for Chicago residents in order to give people an air conditioned place to be during the day, which is a lovely move. Do other local museums do the same during extreme temps? I hadn't heard of it before.

I just want to add, since this is breaking containment, that this can't be made right. these people, each one a whole universe, are gone. there can only be justice for the perpetrators; public remorse & restitution; & reform to ensure future aid systems are more just and less prone to imperial whims

It’s been 111 years since the Armenian Genocide, a crime against humanity that took the lives of 1.5 million Armenians. On this anniversary, we remember those we lost and honor the resilience of those who survived and the generations after who built lives here in the United States.

The person who “signed off” on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.
Nearly every ad break has included at least one commercial designed to make a primary care doctor’s head explode. Good thing for the half time show and sad patriots.

We did not properly punish the confederates. We did not properly punish the insurrectionists on January 6th. We have to punish ICE. They can’t be allowed to slink back into their communities quietly. Expose them. Arrest them. Convict them. Imprison them.
