I make cartoons for children and sometimes horror. Love a shenanigan.

I can't say I am not dismayed that the new Professor X is younger than me and also at least 15 years older than all the x men, who are old enough to drink. He said, on the website for 38 year olds (plus?)

It might seem cheap that Star Trek characters’ favorite media all exists already on our world (or is close foctionalized version of same). In fact that simply reflects that the advent of AI and holodeck technology level interactivity ushered in the heat death of new creation.

The Nolan Batmans spend a lot of time existentially struggling with the question "should Batman exist?" which is a question I, as a Batman fan, do not really care to engage much. This perhaps unlocks why, and merits a rewatch with this perspective.

Everything Nolan has done since Batman makes me think the reason his Batman movies seemingly have reactionary politics is just him taking the Alan Moore position that superheroes are an inherently fascist-adjacent idea

Right now at almost 11pm I do not have it in me to figure out why Ready or Not 2: Here I Come makes me want to watch Terminator 2: Judgement Day so badly. Maybe at 1:30am after watching T2 I will have more answers.

I am in Paris. It is 100 F. The nice man in the used bookshop where I bought 70s sci-fi magazines was like “science fiction? No more of that. There is no more future.”

4 copies of Galaxie French sci-fi journal with the most 70s and most French cover art.

One thing I can’t stop smiling about in Sheep Detectives (great movie!) is the incredible production design detail that there happens to be a neon sign shop/artist in this quaint little town, so every storefront and government institution has a neon sign. It’s never remarked upon.
