I can’t believe we’re still having a debate about whether there’s a trade off between job creation and measures to green the economy. There isn’t. The evidence was clear years ago - a green economy creates far more jobs than the fossil fuel economy it replaces. Come on Labour, catch up …

Our Burmese neighbor kids no longer play in their front yard or street with the other kids, due to the parents fear of shit like this.
This plane landed in Myanmar about three hours ago. This is the third ICE flight to Myanmar this year. Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.
Are you politically savvy enough not to say something that would allow your name to appear in the same headline as the word "neo-Nazi"? Congratulations! You're sharper than at least two UK party leaders

In 2011, the UK government response to antitrans provocations was "Don't be so bloody stupid".
web.archive.org/web/20260108... Here's an archive link of the original business guidance in case the original goes missing. In pretty clear terms the original guidance used to say stuff like "obviously, so long as the changing rooms allow privacy, trans women should be permitted to use the womens"
Like, I need one of these ghouls to explain to me what actually *happens* when a cis person is being confronted. How are they meant to demonstrate their "biological sex" to the satisfaction of the person yelling at them?
I'm sure I've talked about this before. The whole point is to enforce compliance through social pressure. Trans people are simply going to avoid existing in public, and that's what the GC's actually want. But why would a cis person comply in advance with guidance that has nothing to do with them?
I'm on the right side of the train to Edinburgh for looking out at the sea :)
Look I know I am not saying anything new here but I am *raging* that a bunch of self-proclaimed 'feminists' are in fact doing the work of patriarchy by trying to force us all back to a place where women must conform to a narrow set of stereotyped standards. FUCK OFF. I LIVED THROUGH THE '90S.
Cis woman on now speaking about how much she has been challenged, had security called on her because she has PCOS. Says she's never had a problem with trans women but multiple problems with GC women. She's on the verge of tears.
If you'd like a good lesson in how capitalism works, Elon promised a mars colony by 2025 and in 2026 he is just crashing rockets into the moon.
For clarity, I am not talking about subtitles captions. I'm talking about the writing under the photo or video.
So sick of every account on Instagram using ai for their captions now. Better to just leave them empty, for all the value they add.
This is a repeated pattern Burnham has already displayed - portraying environmental protection and economic prosperity as zero sum, sacrificing one for the other. It might be canny short term politics, but it’s a horrible message that validates the culture messaging of the climate deniers
The Burnham premiership continues its approach to the future which is "wildfires? lets have more of that please, the young can be put to work to put out the flames" www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
This is what we need to hear more of. And we need to forgive people when they say this. Better late than never - we need more people to speak up and speak louder however late they join the fight.
Turned it back on an he seemed to be wrapping up the segment by saying sorry for not speaking out louder against this guidance before now 👀
culture-war ass take. you're deleting a believably reachable requirement and replacing it with a rather unrealistic one

This is a very good explainer of why the EHRC code is surprising even within the current case law This is a legislative issue, the law will need to change to unravel this mess, but a greater degree of accurate clarity for duty bearers on these points would make a big everyday difference until then
We have also written a detailed legal explainer about why we think the code of practice gets the law wrong.
