i was on vacation/a writing retreat for the past week and change, so i didn’t get a chance to hold the ARC in my hands until early early early this morning and i am so grateful! look at it! it’s so thiiiicccccc (a baddie, forreal! lol) … !

The thing that is ignored is how much the Democratic Party benefitted from the free labor of young Black activists and organizers during that election cycle. When some of us pointed out how disaffected those organizers were in 24, we were called wreckers and yelled at, lol.

i’ve been in restaurant and farm management and knew enough to know that “taco bell lettuce” meant some big producer’s lettuce. so when ppl were also saying the grocery store deli and mcdonald’s & other big chains i knew it had to be taylor farms. but most ppl wouldn’t, they have no reason to know

Re: cyclospora, Taco Bell having ethics and going "you know what, it's always the fucking lettuce, why don't we just pull that until we know what's going on" resulting in all the outlets going "LETTUCE SOLD AT TACO BELL LINKED TO EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA" is a fantastic way to discourage ethics in future.

I am glad she's not going to prison. It's worth noting that much was made here of her criminal actions being a brief deviation from an otherwise law-abiding life. But literally no one should go to jail or prison for obstructing ICE. I don't care how many times they've broken the law.

Former Wisconsin judge spared prison for obstructing ICE arrest of immigrant

Hannah Dugan was fined $5,000 for ushering a Mexican defendant out of her courtroom to evade ICE agents

A. People in DC did not know those fascists were planning to march. B. They marched for 15 minutes and then turned tail. C. People in DC would have been out there had they known they would be there. D. Do people know how people in DC (who actually live in the city) roll?

If you run people of color who are not openly contemptuous of Black people then Black voters will give you a fair hearing. The online so called dirtbag Left, however, will always repel most Black people but they aren't the ones running so...

crazy how DSA romped in one of the Blackest electorates in the country and all I hear is they are supported by white gentrifiers newrepublic.com/article/2123...

The Prairieland defendants are political prisoners being held captive by a fascist regime There are raids, subpoenas, indictments targeting anarchists, abolitionists, & anti ICE activists all over the country right now Take this moment seriously. Understand how the state will continue to escalate.

30 years for moving a box of zines. Des Sanchez Estrada was not even at the noise demo that led to this. The state is attempting to make an example of these anti-fascist political prisoners. We can expect the crackdowns to continue & escalate. Take this seriously. Don't back down

This is true, but also two key points: * it's nobody's fucking business what's in some kid's pants * they made up this entire bullshit fake panic to demonize innocent people, and the people responsible for the panic are actual child sexual predators Free healthcare for all, all the goddamn time.

Gender-affirming care for minors is not a bad thing. It’s been so needlessly demonized and the position has been so thoroughly capitulated to that I think people forget it’s actually a good thing. A Grammy award winning artist had gender affirming surgery at 16. It’s a great thing!

storytime (warning: about “nice” homophobia): in 2007, i’d graduated from seminary and had no job prospects, so i ended up moving back home with my parents, sleeping on my childhood twin bed. my father is a COGIC pastor and district superintendent; my mother is a evangelist missionary.
