CKD prevalence in the U.S. hasn't changed in a decade from 14.5% in 2013 to 14.8% in 2023 affecting ~36 million adults. @nejm.org But the disease underneath has changed: diabetes-linked CKD is up 29%. @sophieclaudel.bsky.social www.nejm.org/doi/full/10....

Excited to share this research letter looking at albuminuria values in healthy adults! We followed IFCC guidelines for establishing references ranges, which had not previously been shown in the literature, and consider what “normal” should be by sex.
