In 2017, when the Republicans tried to repeal the ACA, one of the key factors in its ultimate failure was the opposition of almost every sector of the health care industry. The scale and scope of the health care cuts contained in the GOP budget will likely (if more slowly) create similar opposition

Trump bombing Iran was illegal and unjustified. I ran for Congress to make sure our leaders consider the true costs of war. And I will be in the Senate, standing on my titanium legs, demanding answers from Trump. My statement:

We have bombed a nation we are not at war with and have done so without Congress knowing about it, voting on it or approving it. President Trump’s actions are not only unconstitutional—they are dangerous.

There's no declaration of war, and no AUMF that covers this. Entering this war is wrong on the merits; we had a perfectly peaceful way to address Iran's nuclear program. It's also unlawful. A democratic republic should not be able to enter a war of choice on one man's say-so.

Trump has no constitutional authority to take us to war with Iran without authorization from Congress, and Congress has not authorized it.
I know this can sound kind of silly at a time like this, but doing a war without congressional authorization is ample grounds for impeachment
This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Simultaneously eroding the health care workforce, cutting insurance, and increasing the cost to individuals/families. It’s like a “how to” if your goal is to massively erode access to care.

The provider tax is complex and hard to understand—which is precisely why the GOP is using it to hide & disguise massive Medicaid cuts. It’s also an indirect effort to repeal the ACA’s Medicaid expansion. The loss of funds will likely be so high that some states will stop covering this population.
