Waiting on those layoffs and studio closures now. This is a fucking terrible deal, but corrupt powers win yet again.

That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Just realized I never shared this here TMNT art in the style of old Bengus art (circa MvC1.) Made the Turtles, and was initially just going to add April O'Neil, ended up adding Splinter, Bebop and Rocksteady as well. I made these during a number of livestreams. Could be fun to add more.
the real issue with the internet in 2026 is nobody talks about Domo-kun anymore.
Conservatives are finding fun new racist ways to continue defending the Confederacy
Another datapoint for the fascist radicalisation of institutional pillars of much of the American Right
AI moguls are the most evil motherfuckers on the planet, and the people that enjoy AI slop are the cultural equivalent of a deer tick, deserving respect as such.
No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

I worked at Disney a while ago. Do you know why theme parks are so safe? Because OOSHA reps can walk the track on any ride at any time and any safety violation they see is a $10,000 fine. Each. Theme parks are not safe because the company cares. They're safe because it's cheaper to comply.
Turns out that food companies were only checking their food because the government told them to, which is exactly why we need government regulations.
Jimothy inspired me to take karate lessons in a suburban strip mall. Thank you, Jimothy.
“You never lived through that,” says person who cites X-Play as a cultural force. Ya know, a second tier show on a cable network no one watched, but they saw clips of it on social media so it must have been huge!
wasnt always like this, but as Japanese studios got more involved with western press... yep, there's a playbook and they often try to stick to it. There's a similar problem with JP anime industry panels at US cons. Again, there's a playbook.

Wild that people who lived through moral panics about media look back and go “oh yeah that shit was mad popular” only to have absolute weirdos crawl out and accuse them of lying because clearly the newspaper meant everyone hated it! What do you think the paper was responding to dog
The stocks are depleted because of biden also they are not depleted and anyone who says they are should be in jail.
WELKER: Is America backing away from a larger attack bc our stockpile has been depleted? WALTZ: We have to take a step back. A lot of our stockpiles were depleted because of Biden WELKER: But you acknowledge they're depleted? WALTZ: No. And the people leaking this nonsense deserve to be in jail
