there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

A certain AAA studio told employees that their internal gen AI was trained only on local data, but whenever said employees tried to generate an image of a woman holding a gun, it generated Lara Croft. The studio was not Crystal Dynamics, and had never worked on the Tomb Raider IP in any capacity.

I just want to mention: Even if your AI somehow runs locally and you think it's okay, it's still using trained data from a pre-existing dataset which is still full of stolen work. The sheer amount of data gen AI needs is in the hundreds of thousands, you can only get that by scraping

I wonder how fast my account would get suspended if I just spent a couple hours going from random stream to stream letting streamers know how to opt out. Because I can't see Twitch sending emails detailing the opt out.

everyone with a Twitch account is automatically opted in to Amazon using your stream to train its AI models. you have to deliberately opt out - a feature the platform is positioning as a nice little favor to its users :) www.404media.co/twitch-train...

Inspired by Agent 64s release, I booted up OG Perfect Dark. Man that game still rips. Imagine the chodes that'd come outta the woodwork if it released today, just for playing a woman.
