Aw, today's the first day I regret deleting my twitter account! There was a thread back over there where Mark was explaining to me what a comedy producer does, and I would like to know the date of that For Reasons.

I’ve stated before that we just can’t tell people who are trying to get a foothold in industry to (physically) circulate in an ecosystem and to BE at events where agents and publishers are in order to do that or to progress. It demands money, good health and that you’re not an unpaid carer.

I would like to express something in no uncertain terms about the publishing industry re availability and I would really like this carved in stone. Carers and chronically ill writers are structurally disadvantaged in prestige economies. This is brutal and rarely said out loud. I need more support

If I were to teach a weekly online class on well-being and writing, would you like that? I have the background, the skill but also the subtlety of lived experience that comes from turbulence, illness and being a carer. I don't want this to be about industry, but about writing and its manifold joys x

I am educating my brother about Hoopla and Libby. He wanted me to help him buy him an audiobook on Spotify and I said, "But, WAIT! Do you have a library card? Cause, that audiobook you want to listen to? The library has the whole series! For freeeeeee!!!"

Does anyone know how to, affordably and maybe even legally, use YouTube videos that are of you but not made by you, for TikTok? I want to get some kind of presence on there but pretty much all my best videos were taken and uploaded by my dad.

250 years ago today, #JaneAusten was born. She was a writer known primarily for her six novels. Her use of irony, humour and social commentary, have long earned her acclaim among scholars. She remains one of the most successful writers of all times. WE LOVE YOU JANE AUSTEN! 🎉🎉

Happy 250th anniversary to the greatest author who has ever lived. It’s only two days before my viva anniversary and I can’t think of anyone else I would rather have spent four years with - and many others before and since. Here’s to many more years of having fun with Austen 🥳
