We joined hundreds of groups in submitting comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding CMS’s interim final rule on Medicaid work reporting requirements, warning of the impacts on Medicaid and the millions who rely on the program for coverage.

@underwood.house.gov spoke with Executive @awright2care.bsky.social about the importance of the tax credits — and why the fight isn't over to extend them.
🚨DHS finalized a new rule that penalizes lawfully present and eligible immigrants for accessing vital services, leaving some lawfully present immigrant families with the impossible choice of gambling that accessing care won’t cost them their future.
What makes our neighborhoods healthier and safer isn’t ICE enforcement. It’s communities that can access the care, services, and resources they need to thrive and remain resilient, write @awright2care.bsky.social of @familiesusa.bsky.social and Adriana Cadena of Protecting Immigrant Families.
Attacks on Immigrant Communities Are Attacks on All of Our Health
The White House and their congressional allies are funding ICE’s brutal dragnet operations in our communities by cutting health coverage, defending clinics, and making it harder for families to get the care they need.

Celebrating the 250th of the Constitution in 1787 or Washington getting inaugurated in 1789 gives us a second chance and might make more sense, and we can use those dozen years to reclaim the principles of our founding documents towards that more perfect union. (2)

With the President sidelining the official bipartisan America 250 events for his vanity events & politicized programming, my modest proposal is that civic society reset their previous plans to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in 1787. (1)

Insane self-blinding of the US. They are throwing away their investment in the ocean observation system and the benefits it provides. The only explanation I can think of: they don’t want the people to know what their fossil emissions are doing to our oceans. easternherald.com/2026/06/13/u...

I have to say, removing a usurper king's name from a building really is a great way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding.
True story: there's a department (state) and city in Paraguay named for a U.S. President, and I could give you twenty guesses and you'd still probably get it wrong. [It's Rutherford B. Hayes, who arbitrated a land dispute between Paraguay and Argentina in Paraguay's favor.]
