Idk man I think a worker owned collective of journalists who aren't afraid to report complicated situations of harm in our industry is really good and I'd like to see it continue and hopefully one day expand. I'd love for said journalists to be able to earn a livable wage while doing it too. 💙

100 years would be more like great grandparents. Which would be . . . machinist or construction contractor, I think? That'd be ultrapaternal and ultra maternal. Not sure about my other great grandfathers.

I attended Arcane Sword's presentation on Traveller at Between Two Cons, and its got me really excited for Spacer to be out in the world.

Yeah, two things can be true--you can genuinely enjoy and even love a movie and also have (or agree with) criticisms of it. This is normal and ok.

I also read Wilson's critique and found that both enjoyable and insightful. It's not even really a bad review -- it's an incisive dissection from the POV of someone whose knives have long been sharpened on the material.
So, I got into tabletop games by hanging out at a friend's game shop. (I'd met him while clubbing.) This was a fairly typical FLGS. 40K, Friday Night Magic, a coupla V:TM tables. The core group of dudes where old uni mates. These were true-blue grognards. They used to play Napoleonics. 1/
