We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

I saw an interview with a park ranger who was asked "Why can't they build bear proof dumpsters?" His reply was perfect: "There's a considerable overlap between the smartest bears and the dumbest people."

I was today years old when I found out that actor Michael Dorn is an accomplished pilot who owned an F-86 Sabre in the 1990s. He once ran out of fuel and made an emergency landing at a military airfield. The base commander agreed not to tell the FAA in return for autographs and two low level passes…

Actor Michael Dorn, in green flight overalls, taking a knee in front of an F-86 Sabre, a swept-wing single engine jet fighter with a distinctive nose air intake. The aircraft is in natural metal finish with US Air National Guard markings.

Pornainen, Finland (pop 5,000) is now heated by a silo of crushed soapstone. I spoke to CNBC about it. 100 MWh, charged when power is cheap, emissions down ~70%. Days to weeks of storage, no critical minerals. www.cnbc.com/2026/07/25/f...

Finland’s radical answer to renewable energy’s biggest headache: The world’s largest sand battery

A small Finnish town has turned to the world's largest commercial sand battery to tackle a major hurdle in the energy transition: intermittency.

I cross-referenced my database of candidates against credible voter fraud cases. GOP politicians are implicated at 50x–38,000x the general public's rate. Yet even if every American voted with the integrity of a GOP candidate, it still wouldn't come close to justifying making voting one iota harder.

Bar chart titled "Voter fraud among Republican politicians vastly exceeds the public's. That rate is still just 1 in 850." The chart shows that 0.118% of Republican politicians (17 out of 14,442 DIME candidates from 2016–2026) have been credibly implicated in voter fraud. This rate is represented by a tall red bar that dwarfs the microscopic rates for the general electorate, making the politicians' rate 50x to 38,000x higher than the documented rates for everyone else.

This is what I have verified about Taylor Farms and this administration: 1. Bruce Taylor met with Trump on 07/16/26. 3. The FDA reversed its previous warning about Taylor Farms on 07/19/26. 4. Taylor Farms gave $1 million to Trump's PAC. I don't know when, but that's what got Taylor the meeting.
