Low-key one of the most satisfying parts of learning to do research in biology is getting a sense of biological scales. Developing a mental concept for how to compare sizes of different biological objects as if I’m learning a language. It’s been very satisfying!

It's so goddman fun reading research chronologically... It's like watching a TV show. I'm on the edge of my seat!!

It's genuinely difficult to have a conversation about the world with people my age that doesn't leave us depressed. There is a profound grief in my generation for the world we were denied and a fear of the world we are left with Acknowledging things are getting worse is not reactionary.
