everyone should try to make a game sometime, it's very illuminating. everyone should try to play an instrument. to draw. knowledge will set you free from suffering, one little bit at a time. then we can get to the really fun complaining. posting like you wouldn't believe.

We really do. My philosophy is that you shouldn't just take game graphics as the sole measure of if something is 'retro'. The vision behind it, the media that supported it, the ads, magazines, the culture, everything around is important too as historical delineations. Its overall 'vibe'.

I've wanted to say something like this before, but have feared the wrath of Sanae. I feel like we need better language than using "retro" to refer to both things that are purely old (as the 360 unquestionably is) and things that follow the conventions of particular periods of history in the medium.

You can't keep calling it inflation when corporate profit margins surged upwards of 75%, accounting for roughly 40% of the total inflation seen since the pandemic began. Corporations raised prices to boost profits, used inflation as a shield, and never dropped prices again.
