Watching reactions to the Slate truck has been... weird. I didn't expect people to completely forget the lower cost of ownership angle to electric vehicles so quickly but they apparently have. Many comparisons between it and Ford's current Maverick on purchase price and nothing else! The fuck!

Really hoping next year we get NASCAR Groom Lake 350 presented by Lockheed Martin where they allow no spectators and it’s a bean-shaped oval made on one of the huge concrete runways out in the middle of nowhere

I do not want a car with a touch screen. I don't want a car with any screen. I would prefer to only own cars built before 2013, at least until they figure out how to make cars that don't piss me off.

We were fortunate to have it at the Ford Greenfield Labs Cars & Coffee a few years back - Still looks fresh 25 years later (albeit now green…)

To the best of my knowledge, the Ford 021C was the last time a designer associated with Apple was Marc Newson in 1999 (prior to joining Apple). He now works with Jony Ive, I can see some similar elements to the Luce, like the recessed and inset rear lights. It’s one of my fave concept cars.

Low down front 3/4 image of the Ford 021C in a studio setting with a white background. The car is primarily orange (the name is derived from the Pantone colour code), with the roof and window pillars in white. The overall shape of the car is boxy yet smooth, in a traditional three box sedan form factor ( first box for engine, second for passengers and the third for luggage). The front end is silver, this wraps round to the front wings, with a large inset light bar to form the headlights. There’s a comparatively tiny blue oval Ford badge in the middle.
