Factoid: This T45 brochure was sent to me by Leyland’s Irish subsidiary in 1985 along with a load of material (including a European dealer network booklet). You don’t need me to tell you the T45 was a trendsetting design when launched in 1980 but I think it still looks modern today…(1)

Early interest check, but any UK folks after an MX-5? I have plans next year that involve it not being around, and as I'm unlikely to drive it much in the winter, I'll be aiming to sell it soon.

M'collegue, @ajpbradley.bsky.social, blesses us with his presence this week on the News Show. He has "a theory" about one story - having heard it, I agree. We also have a quiz for you, thanks to one person. I get more excited about the third New New Car News, erm, car than the other two.

Oh crikey. Forgot to say, the #RechargingRoundBritain livestream will actually be tomorrow (ie. Wednesday 5 August) night at 20:00 BST, as we roundup the full trip including charging costs etc. We'd love for you to be there and to send any questions you have in. Apologies for the lack of notice.

I appear to have a functioning office for my return to work tomorrow morning. I can't say I have a tidy, functioning office, and blur will be needed on any call backgrounds for another week or so, but it's definitely a start. 👍
