But now we have NOTUS, The 51st, City Cast DC, Axios etc in addition to Washingtonian and Post still doing good reporting and as a consumer seems a lot more to track/follow??
There's a whole lotta local news newsletters that I am suddenly having to read first thing in the morning. A good problem to have!

It is hard to track but getting daily newsletters from @730dc.bsky.social and @wcp.bsky.social helps as they link to interesting articles in the others.

The revenue comp here doesn’t account for sales or payroll taxes generated by streeteries and so it’s silly. That said it’s true that most streeteries weren’t ADA complaint or busy and had no future. The real truth is somewhere in the middle, written on a napkin and allowed within 5 feet of a tree.

The limited intel I’ve gotten is that this has not made any real difference. Likely because only online folks even know about the controversy and the people who are online who care aren’t ordering delivery much anyway

In my hometown of Elkins, WV for 10 days (3.5 hour drive from DC). Mrs Barred attending Vocal Week at the long running Augusta Heritage Festival (other weeks include bluegrass, old time music, Cajun/creole/country, blues). Highly recommended. Classes offered:
