Okay, I wasn't sure I wanted Ted Lasso Season 4. I was wrong. I did. I was just afraid of it. Helluva season opener. I'm in. We're back.

It's "Electability" season once again so let me just remind everybody possessing this incredible power of foresight to tell us something useful like November stock prices.

Gotta love a cop car with US G license plates just rolling through a red light so they can take a right on the next block to just pull someone over.

All of my fantasies lately are that people who are in power and who are deeply and abidingly bad at everything except being money-grubbing jerkfaces get what's coming to them, in public, in ways we can all watch and appreciate. I want that catharsis of watching them fall. It never comes.

It has been an absolutely heartwarming evening watching Stars, Broken Social Scene, and Metric. These are amazing humans who love each other and love performing.

Like the hypocrisy and the open corruption, the naked, brazen lying is itself aspiring authoritarianism. They aren't lying to cover anything up. They're saying, "We know we're lying. You know we're lying. And we know you know we're lying. And there's nothing you can do about it."
