Some books are meant to be books. Not sure I'll ever watch this as it might spoil the magic. I've never watched Life of Pi for the same reason.

Last week the posy I brought home from the garden had a chrysalis attached though I didn't notice till I got home. If you, like me, haven't watched a butterfly emerge you won't be prepared for how amazing or how long emergence takes #TinyJoys a 🧵

Photo of a small posy of sweet peas and snap dragons with a painted lady chrysalis hanging from one blossom. The chrysalis is pale with gold flecks

If you put together the season posters for Reacher they tell the story of a large man who can't remember where he put his keys.

Reacher Season 1 Poster. "Did I leave them in the bedroom?"Reacher Season 2, "No, I checked the bedroom. Did I leave them in the bathroom?"Reacher Season 3. "No, I checked the bathroom. Hey, have you seen my keys?"

What the hell is wrong with people lighting fires, barbecues and cigarettes where it's tinder dry. My summers now are permanent haze and smoke smell from 'accidental' fires started by imbeciles.

Carole has been on this since day one, and has been harried through the courts, nigh on bankrupted; ridiculed and dismissed as a "crazy cat lady" by the euroseptic Andrew Neil. They knew what she knew, and they knew she had to be silenced. 10 years later the story finally appears in the RW press.

If you’re wondering why UK press has suddenly woken up to Farage, please read this. It’s because: Brexit. The r/w press refused to scrutinise the money behind Farage & the lawsuit against me scared off the rest. But this isn’t a new scandal. It’s the same one I’ve been reporting on for a decade

I lost my phone in a cemetery. Went back at dusk to try and see the screen light in the dark and it turns out people put weird flashing lights on graves now. Also, don't go to a graveyard after dark alone. Spoopy.

Why have I turned on BBC Breakfast to see people discussing how Labour can protect its vote from Reform? There's no election. Stop following newspaper agendas and start covering actual news. Editorial independence should mean leading, not following.

I am once again begging Hollywood to stop using the Greek alphabet for an Ancient World movie, if they can't afford to even throw a couple of quid at anyone with an inkling of the language. Unless they really think audiences are dying to see THS THDPSSSSPS

Every time I turn on the News, someone is discussing who *might* be Chancellor and what that *might* mean. These are good and important questions, but they are not "News". We need to find a way to shift the dial back to reporting on what *has* happened, rather than speculating on what *might*.
