One of these days they'll do this quiz without the Devil's Night question and I'll learn that ACTUALLY I talk like I'm from somewhere else. Until then I will continue to talk like everyone around me has always talked.

I'm really appreciating Daggerbound throwing shade (no pun intended) at Bradford pear trees. Disgusting.
In fourth grade social dynamics somehow shifted and I became an object of mockery. A tween volunteering at the library recommended Alanna the First Adventure and I learned that books could let you go somewhere else in your mind. 30+ years later Tortall is still my favorite escape when life sucks.

The thing I love about the Ana and Din novels is that they have the world building and character work that adult me wants to read but they are also reminiscent of the gory thrillers of my youth.
When you are dealing with your first major asthma flare and you're just so sick of expelling slime from your faceholes, @tkingfisher.com 's Clockwork Boys becomes much more comforting than you might have remembered it being.
This makes me think about....idk. A lot, but mostly why I think my mom was kinda brilliant. She did NOT particularly love shopping with us because we slowed her down but there was no other option in the summer. So, she created the One Item system.
