My main issue with Haaland is that he normalizes Manchester City and kids that don’t know better might start thinking it’s ok to support that club

um, so everyone cheering on egypt in the world cup realizes how the pyramids were built right? but i guess that's a conversation you're not ready to have

If you're just discovering soccer, just know that your beloved Erling Haaland plays for this generation's Premier League equivalent of the Yankees/Lakers/etc. that any self-respecting fan not born into it should hate. Congrats, you just got hoodwinked into being a Kobe fan

My great fear is that all US soccer fans are now hopping on the Norway bandwagon because "they do the rowing thing and Haaland seems so fun on his TikTok and he scores a lot" and this will translate to a whole new generation of VERY casual Man City fans who will be annoying as hell

To be honest with you, "Round of 16" feels exactly right. Emotions, sure, but looking at it rationally, at no point should anyone have been swept away by notions that the USMNT is one of the eight best squads in the world right now

I realize it's just one game, but I'm ready to say that Darryn Peterson is a superstar. All the great things we saw will translate to actual games. I don't think there were many doubters among Jazz fans, but I'm sure there are even fewer now. And (and and and!). . . he played 27 minutes!
