Petition: Hold a UK-wide briefing on climate and nature risks
The UK faces growing risks from climate and nature breakdown - from extreme weather to economic disruption and national security threats. Yet the public has never been given a clear national briefing ...

Zack Polanski, "If we decarbonise by 2050, that would cost less than a single (fossil-fuel) energy shock" "We've now had two energy shocks in just a few years" "We cannot keep waiting, we cannot keep hoping for magic technologies - it already exists, what is lacking is the political will"
I can’t believe we’re still having a debate about whether there’s a trade off between job creation and measures to green the economy. There isn’t. The evidence was clear years ago - a green economy creates far more jobs than the fossil fuel economy it replaces. Come on Labour, catch up …

Lying here on one of our friends' giant sofas, with all windows and doors of their lovely bungalow open, listening to the regular clatter and whistle of steam trains crossing the Hookhills Viaduct up above and reading my book. Well and truly in Holiday mode now 🙏 www.instagram.com/reel/DXym6Ob...
...and something I'm watching for the first time, as I've only just noticed it 🤔 Evidence of a slight Parasympathetic swing / dominance, combined with VERY HIGH SDNN... Looking back at months of EliteHRV data I can see that this can often be followed the next day with a HRV drop 🤔 Interesting!
Extreme weather is now the new normal. The Prime Minister must act like this is the emergency it is.
This is what climate failure looks like. Nature, homes and livelihoods are being destroyed. The Government must act now.

Maybe there would be more of a national conversation on climate change if the government wasn't trying to imprison anyone who takes to the streets to kickstart such a conversation
Appreciate this is 'make it make sense' howling into the void, but the failure (with some exceptions) of government, politicians, media, and business to point at the heatwaves and fires and state 'this is why climate action matters' is a serious problem. www.businessgreen.com/blog-post/45...

Crop yields down, our countryside scorched and over 2800 people are dead due to this summer's heatwaves. Meanwhile fossil fuel giants are raking in record profits. We must end this rampant profiteering, and cut fossil fuels from our energy mix as soon as possible.

BP's quarterly profits more than doubled to £4.2 billion in the three months to the end of June. These are the profits of war and climate chaos. It's time to make the biggest polluters pay.
BBC News reporting on concerns about food security and water security We can all see the food and water crisis unfolding, why isn't our government doing everything possible to protect these two precious resources, our food and water supply?

A lot of people who died of COVID despite ivermectin would like to have a word but they’re a little too dead.
Ron Johnson: "Aaron Rodgers was smart enough to take ivermectin when he got covid ... unfortunately, more people didn't follow him. We wouldn't have had as many of athletes falling unconscious, sometimes dead on the field of play. You've seen the video reels of this happening in 2021."
We're not going to stop climate change unless we phase out fossil fuels.

I’m intrigued by the recent resurgence of the ‘Long Covid is not real’ nonsense we saw back in 20/21. The refusal to learn is one thing, but the dismissal of reality is another. Long Covid is too painful, too common & too present in many people’s lives to be denied. The story is hard to rewrite.
#LongCovid is not a ‘subject’ to dispute. It’s a health condition that changes people’s lives. Definitions can evolve & that’s not an excuse to dismiss the illness itself. Diagnostic criteria for diabetes have repeatedly changed over time but no one takes u seriously if you say diabetes in disputed!
Long covid is a disputed subject, at best.
