Warde leaving doesn't really surprise me, as at some point the perception of toxicity around you makes it too hard to stick around. But I do think people assuming all the ills will disappear with him gone, or that the next AD won't be focused on money but the fans are going to be disappointed.

I think the one other thing I’d point out aside from the egregious sexual misconduct failures is that the football team didn’t really seem to have a coach last year for actual football stuff either and the athletic director probably should have noticed that too

It's funny, I generally have never had a problem with any of the MAC schools re: FOIAing stuff. The D-II schools in Michigan are 50-50 about being a pain in the ass. But Michigan State and Michigan are ALWAYS a pain, even for easy stuff. For adversarial stuff, its almost impossible.
