An extremely important movie in MST3K history, obviously.
NEW WORK: They're coming! Via my expansive, exhaustive article on the making of/release of THE GREEN SLIME (1969)—Bill Finger fans, take note!
For some reason I related to this concept a lot. Who can say why.
saturated solace is @tremosphere.com 's fourth album, released last year how to hold on as a middle age AuDHD woman bound by circumstances and/in end times fascism tremosphere.bandcamp.com/album/satura...
Absolutely no clue what show this was but I'm sure Carol Kane was amazing and adorable on it.
I sometimes wonder if there was something similar going on with the Bronson Arroyo/Wily Mo Pena trade.
The Sox supposedly traded Marcelo Mayer because he and Roman Anthony couldn’t stop banging nasty Boston skanks—and got in the world’s dumbest fight over it. I love baseball.
One way you can tell trans women are really women is that Stephen A Smith treats them like shit

One of those films with an embarrassment of talent both in front of and behind the camera, doing something that should've struck absolutely everyone as unworkable en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heartbe...
STARLOG covered the release of HEARTBEEPS for months.
The human race owes it to John Cage to survive long enough to complete this performance.
for the first time in two and a half years, a new note was played in this organ performance today!
Zoe is watching T2 for the first time and having the normal experience
LINDA HAMILTON MY GOD
In 1986, just getting prescribed hormones as a transgender person was a years long ordeal. Even in the most liberal mainstream workplaces, being gay and/or trans had to be a secret.
wild to me that the common understanding of t4t is that it's largely a safety thing when in my experience trans spaces can significantly worse about ignoring boundaries and rampant oversexualization as cis spaces tend to be
I was talking to a college student today about the passing of the matryoshka doll from Grant Morrison and Rebis to Rachel Pollack and Kate Godwin to me and Galaxy and how much that means to me as someone who was a teenager who read those old DOOM PATROL comics and realized she wasn't alone.
One of the cool things about DC are the legacy characters. Characters who are connected not necessarily by family or circumstance, but by a shared history and view point. A line of creators who inspired the next, each a part of the larger story.
Every comedy type person has THEIR "Get A Life" episode. The episode that stuck with them and altered their DNA. "Zoo Animals On Wheels" was my "Get A Life" episode.
After Act I of Jesus Christ Superstar the man seated next to me said to his companion, perplexed, “I thought there would be roller skating”
I had a thing against Sean Connery. I did not like him, he grossed me out and I didn't get the fan-worship.
The only thing I know about the Highlander franchise is Siskel & Ebert hated Highlander II, but they applauded Sean Connery’s he-knows-how-bad-it-is-but-he’s-getting-paid-millions performance
Okay, here's a joke. I used to be annoyed at seeing fictional nerd groups where there was the token female nerd. The one who would half-heartedly play Dungeons & Dragons but not really be into it. I was a high school nerd and my friend group had no such person.
The rest of my family and most of my nerd friends growing up knew the two Highlander movies front-to-back but I was either reading or on the internet or listening to music or some combination whenever anything "Highlander" related was happening. That was not my thing.
Sometimes I feel like this is the greatest song in rock history and then I remember that they have another song that is even better. "Time to play b-sides."
I know so so so so much about the "Highlander" franchise for someone who does not enjoy the "Highlander" franchise in the slightest and goes out of her way to not watch anything "Highlander" related.
Now watching (for the first time!):
Emily Wilson gets one more piece on The Odyssey and then she needs to move on and let us know what she thinks about Mallrats
Lots of trans people have very normal thoughts about this character.
Alright winding down for the night by catching up on the show that I missed last night.
